Kalki Avatar will be the 10th & last incarnation of Lord Vishnu. A divine secret it was, the arrival of Lord Kalki, a tale foretold. Therefore, right beside a Peepal tree, which was also known as the Aswatha Tree, a divine house was built near the river Yamuna at Bengali-ghat in Vrindavana. This place was close to Mathura. At this place, not an ordinary boy was to take birth; but the Lord himself had to appear at that place.

Thus, before the arrival of Lord Kalki, Vishnu Yasha and his wife Sumati would be placed in that divine house by Swami Jagdishwaranand Ji from his Ashram. The secrecy of the avatar of Kalki would not be maintained if in the Ashram Vishnu Yasa lived. The Lord’s appearance in the Kalki Avatar form would not be possible as the ashram would have many people come and go. Lord would want to keep his existence a secret and he would want to live in hiding. Hence, the ashram would not be a suitable place to live for Him.
The peepal tree is considered a divine tree for two main reasons. The First being the Peepal tree releases oxygen at night while other trees release carbon-di-oxide at night. Oxygen is essential for good health. The second reason was that the Peepal tree is full of satvagun which represents light, bliss, goodness while other trees are full of Tamo gun which represents darkness and inertia. Only Satvagun makes Lord’s presence possible.
Brahma knew that Lord Vishnu was incarnating on the earth. Therefore he would ask his swift votary wind to go to the delivery room awaken Lord Vishnu and convey the message to Him that the birth of a person with four arms is rare to be seen even by gods. Therefore, it would only make sense if he could assume the form of a common man with two arms.
The swift wind would do as asked. He would tell Vishnu what Brahma had instructed. The Lotus eyed four-armed Vishnu, after listening to the message of Brahma, at once will have become an infant with two arms. All the four objects of his arms, conch, discus, mace, and lotus would disappear. The umbilical cord would be cut by Goddess Ambika but Prashuramji will have said that since He did not take birth but only appeared, He, therefore, had no umbilical cord. As Lord Kalki arrives he will grow up in a short time.
The purpose of Kalki Avatar
Kalki would be the epitome of all virtues, sober, solemn, and would also interested in studies. Vishnuyasa, therefore, would decide to get him initiated in the pious sacrament of wearing of sacred thread, would call Brahma Sanskara to the recitation of sacred hymn Gayatri and only then would he be entitled to study the Vedas. Unlike a human being, Lord Kalki would take much less time to be a student for studying. In fact, he immediately would grow up to study.
When and where will Kalki take birth
Kalki will have arrived on the 12th day of the bright fortnight which is also known as Sukla Paksha. It will be in the month of Vaishakha. Through Puranas and the forefather, Kalki’s name was heard. The Lord would appear in four arms, he would not take birth as a human being. On his four arms, he would hold a conch, a discus, a mace, and a lotus.
Kalki avatar will have shaved his head off, and just then, there would arrive Maharshi Diptiman through sky-ways. Kalki would be consecrated by him with Vedic hymns with the sacred thread. The pious sacrament of wearing of sacred thread, called Brahma Sanskara would be initiated by Maharshi Diptiman to the recitation of the sacred hymn Gayatri. He would impart his knowledge – “Satyam vada, dharma chara. Swadhayayanma pramada”. Visnuyasa in the meantime would be expecting Diptiman to give Kalki his teaching but he would not do that. Diptiman would say that kulguru Prashuramji would give him his teachings. Kalki would be taken away to the Ashram to study.
In reality, Kalki did not need the teaching of Vedas, as he would remember the text of shruti. His arrival on earth has a purpose and that required teachings of a certain kind only which was only possible by Prashuram.
In the meantime, Prashuram will have arrived and Kalki would accompany him to Mahendra hill through skyways. Eight divine powers would be used by Lord Kalki in childhood. This would be new to be seen as no such activity was seen in any of the eight avatars during childhood.
Vishnuyasa was told by Diptiman that the birth of Kalki had a certain purpose. The Lord did not use eight divine powers in childhood or in any other yugas except in Kali-yuga, where he used eight divine powers in his childhood. Parashurama would make him serve the Kamdhenu cow. He again would instruct Kalki that he would have to do much destruction work. Parshuram would narrate how he had destroyed the Kshatriyas on Earth and would ask Kalki to do greater destruction work than him. And hence, he would ask him to drink the milk of Kamdhenu cow as he wouldn’t get to drink enough of his mother’s milk.
Kalki is finishing up his work on this earth and also with the purpose of giving guru Dakshina by hiding Himself. Next, he appears before the people. He has difficult work to do. He remains in hiding. Kalki eats the fruits and milk that is brought to him by the Kamdhenu cow. The entire day the Lord does the destruction work which is in the form of light and in the evening he assumes the GOCHAR-FORM or the human-form and rests. His main objective is to destroy wicked people or Malechha people completely. By ridding the Earth of the sinners, he has to establish Dharma, and therefore, Satyayuga will start.
Lord Kalki will be born as a superior Brahmin son
The Shrimad Bhagwat Purana describes in detail the incarnations of Lord Vishnu. In the second chapter of the 12th wing of the same Purana, there is a description of Lord Kalki. In which it is said that Lord Kalki will be born as a son in the house of an ascetic Brahmin named Vishnuyasha at a place called Shambhala in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Lord Kalki will destroy the sinners from the world by riding on a horse or vehicle named Devadatta and re-establish religion.
Kalki Avatar will be the last incarnation of Lord Vishnu
Lord Vishnu is called the Parnahar of the universe. The Hindu scriptures mention 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Of these, there have been 9 avatars and the last incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Kali Yuga will be known as Kalki Avatar. According to beliefs, the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Kali Yuga is ‘Kalki’. This incarnation will be in the last phase of Kali Yuga.
