A couple of things in the Hindu or Vedic astrology are often exaggerated and misunderstood. Reason being, the native people take some matters too seriously. One of such most misunderstood astrological problems is Manglik Dosha. The people suffering from this astrological disorder are said to be Manglik. Let’s now understand that who are termed as Manglik.
The presence of this dosha is determined according to the placement of planet Mars in certain houses in the birth chart. If the Mars seems to be positioned in the 1st , 4th , 7th , 8th and 12th house in the horoscope from the ascendant then that person has Manglik Dosha. This dosha is said to be the most severe if the planet Mars (mangla) and the planet Saturn are both in the seventh house.
Effects of Manglik Dosha:
When Mars is situated in the 1st house:
It represents an unhealthy married life leading to unnecessary conflicts. It may lead to violence and physical assault which in turn may be the reason for tension, depression or divorce.
When Mars is situated in the 2nd house:
Family life will suffer. It may include personal as well as professional matter.
When Mars is situated in the 4th house:
This person will face financial issues and may not stay stable in a job profile. This situation would create adverse effects at the professional front.
When Mars is situated in the 7th house:
This will lead to develop a person who will be quite ill tempered, dominating and dictating over his or her partner. Such condition will ultimately make the person not able to maintain cordial relationship with family members.
When Mars is in the 8th house:
Such a person will be lazy and will not be able to maintain a rapport with his or her elders and thus will lose paternal property.
When Mars is situated in the 12th house:
These individuals will develop a lot of enemies and will also suffer from mental and financial problems.
Sometimes the effects of being a Manglik are said to be too acute. It means that there will be serious problems in the married life and it may lead to break up, continuous fight and even death of a partner or both.
There are quite a lot of solutions to eradicate Mangal Dosh which is termed as Mangal Dosh nirakaran. Such as fasting, Kumbh Vivah, Reciting Mantras, make offers and contributions, wear gemstones in the form of rings and visit the Navagraha and Hanuman temples. One of the major and most effective ways to eradicate Mangal Dosh is Kumbh Vivah.
In order to offset the evil influence of manglik dosh, a woman should marry a Peepal tree before she ties the knot with her fiance, signifying that the bride has become a widow and the manglik dosh problem has been washed away.
How to perform Kumbh Vivah
“Kumbh” means “Pot” and “Vivah” means wedding. So the literal meaning of “Kumbh Vivah” is wedding with a pot or a tree.
The “Kumbh Vivaah” is like any regular Hindu wedding, where the Pandit recites wedding prayers, the bride wears bridal clothes and performs Seven Pheras around the Peepal tree. “Kanyadaan” is also performed by the father of the bride.
After the “Kumbh Vivah”, the Manglik bride is considered married to the Peepal, which means she has become a widow. Now when she marries her husband, they will not be impacted by “Manglik Dosha”.
