Vasant Panchami
The birthday of Goddess Saraswati is observed as Vasant Panchami (Basant Panchami) or better known to be Saraswati Puja in a few states of India. Saraswati Puja is celebrated every year on the 5th day of the bright fortnight of the lunar month of Magha. In 2021 this festival falls on Tuesday, 16 February.
Saraswati Puja
Vasant Panchami is celebrated on the eve of the birthday of Goddess Saraswati. It has many stories related to its celebration. It is believed that on this day Goddess Saraswati was born. The story of Saraswati puja is related to ‘Brahma Vaivarta Purana’ and ‘Matsya Purana’. In 2021 this festival falls on Tuesday, 16 February.
Rang Panchami
Rang Panchami is commemorated after 5 days of Holi celebration which is a Hindu festivity of fun and colors. Vivah Panchami
Vivah Panchami will fall on Margashirsha Shukla Paksha Panchami date i.e. Wednesday, 8 December 2021. It is said in the scriptures that this day has a lot of importance because on this day Lord Rama was married to Goddess Sita in Tretayuga. Therefore, this day is also known as Vivah Panchami.
