Vasant Panchami

Tithi: Magha Shukla Paksha Panchami

The Goddess of Knowledge and Art Saraswati’s Birthday is known as Vasant Panchami (Basant Panchami) better known to be Saraswati Puja in a few states of India. This festival marks the beginning of spring. Vasant means ‘Spring’ and Panchami means the ‘5th day. Goddess Saraswati is considered to be the deity of knowledge, music, arts, science, and technology.

Rang Panchami

Tithi: Chaitra Krishna Paksha Panchami

Rang Panchami is commemorated after 5 days of Holi celebration which is a Hindu festivity of fun and colors. It is considered as one of the important festivals in Indian states- Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttar-Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and other parts of Northern India.

Hera Panchami

Hera Panchami is an important and unique ritual of Rath yatra. ‘Hera’ means to ‘see’ and ‘Panchami’ means the fifth day. It is celebrated at the Gundicha temple on the fifth day from the start date of the Jagannath Rath Yatra. This ritual dedicates to Goddess Mahalakshmi. This ritual highlights the separation of Mahalaxmi from Lord Jagannath.

Nag Panchami

Nag Panchami is an auspicious day to revere Snake God in the month of Shravan Maas or Saawan Month. Women worship Nag Devta and offer milk to snakes on this day. Women also pray for the wellness of their brothers and family.

2022 Date: Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha Panchami

Rishi Panchami is an auspicious Hindu fasting day, especially for women. This festival forms an important basis for fasting and pays reverence gratitude, dedication, and respect towards the rishis; which means seven sages and to get purified from Rajaswala Dosha.

Vivah Panchami

2022 Date: Margashirsha Shukla Paksha Panchami

Vivah Panchami is a Hindu festival celebrating the wedding anniversary of Lord Ram and Sita. Devotees of Lord Ram and Sita perform puja and observe a day-long fast. The marriage ceremonies of Lord Ram and Sita are organized in the Ram temples.
