Every year, passionate followers of Lord-Shiva visit this striking religious place which holds the prime position amongst all the pilgrimage vicinity in India. For the lord’s devotees, it is recommended to throng in the occasion of Maha-Shivratri and Shravan maas to get blessings in bulk. Amarnath Cave has a deity in the form of an ICE LINGAM. It is believed Lord Shiva resides in this devout place through the year and is one of the major pilgrimages for Shaivites during Shravan Month. It is also considered as one of the difficult expeditions in India. People annually visit this divine complex during Shravan Mela which is managed by the government of Jammu and Kashmir during July – August. Trekking is also a major part which attracts umpteen followers and passionate trip hoppers to flock here. It is surrounded by amazing mountain views and breathtaking valleys and sightseeing.

How to Reach:

The nearest airport is at Srinagar while Jammu Tawi is popular as the largest railway station in J&K. Jammu and Kashmir is widely connected to other states and cities.

Sightseers and Worshippers can also follow the step of these Yatra Route: There are two routes to the holy cave; one is through Pahalgam and second is via Baltal. 1. Jammu Tawi – Pahalgam – Chandanwari – Pissu Top – Sheshnag – Panchtarni – Amarnath Cave 2. Jammu – Udhampur – Patnitop – Kud – Ramban – Banihal – QaziGund – Anantnag – Srinagar – Baltal – Amarnath Cave Amarnath Yatra 2018.
