Ganesha Jayanti 2019 Puja Muhurat

Ganesha Jayanti is venerated in the month of January or February in Gregorian calendar every year. The date depends upon the Hindu calendar and thus after the calculation, it will be on 9th February in the year 2019. This religious festival is observed on Shukla Chaturthi during Magha lunar month in the bright fortnight or waxing moon day. The ardent admirers of Lord Ganesha solemnize this Hindu festivity with immense gusto and enthusiasm. In accordance with Hindu Mythology, Ganesha Jayanti is celebrated among Hindu devotees as the birth anniversary of the Elephant faced God- Ganesha. Ganesha Jayanti across India is well-known with the name- Magha Shukla Chaturthi Varad Chaturthi and Tilkund Chaturthi. 

There are basically two major Ganesha Festivals- the first one is commemorated in the month during Magha month which is termed as- Ganesha Jayanti and the second one is observed during Bhadrapada month in the Indian states of Madhya-Pradesh, Maharashtra and even in North Indian regions. Ganesh Chaturthi is one the popular festivals in India and thus celebrated religiously with utmost dedication. The festival comprises of umpteen rituals and set of customs to be followed on that day.

Ganesha Jayanti Muhurat Timings:

The puja time would start from 11:30 am and end up till 01:41 pm in the day time. The total Duration of puja muhurat is of 2 Hours and 10 Minutes on the day-9th February. However, as per the Hindu Panchang and Indian timings the Chaturthi Tithi begins by 10:17 and finishes by 12:25 after noon.
