8. Worship the portraits forms of Mother Gauri and Lord Ganesha. Recite this mantra -

'नमः शिवायै शर्वाण्यै सौभाग्यं संतति शुभाम् प्रयच्छ भक्तियुक्तानां नारीणां हरवल्लभे॥'

9. Now it’s time to hear or read the story of Karwa Chauth. After listening to the story, take the blessing of all the elder people in your house.

10. During the night under the moonlight, use channi to take a glimpse of the moon and then the face of your dear husband. Touch his feet and take blessings. Then offer Prasad and food to your husband and then eat the food later on.
