Lucknow Chhath Ghat


‘Gomti Ghat’ in Lucknow is one of the primeval and secular river banks of India. This Ghat is re-named as Kudiya Ghat after the sage- ‘Rishi Kaundaliya’ and thus reconstructed in 1990. At the time of Chhath Pooja, People from different parts of India, specially- Uttar Pradesh gather in a bulk to celebrate this special North-Indian festival by fasting for 24 hours without even consuming water. They perform various rituals and offers sacred things to perform Pooja before Sunset.
