Along with this, he used to harass the Brahmins. When his father came to know about it, he expelled Lumpak from his kingdom. As a result, Lampak refused to understand anything and decided to steal into the city.
Mahishman's soldiers tried to capture him as sins were increasing. He was brought to life in the forest where he lived under a peepal tree. According to the Hindu calendar, on the tenth day of Paush month, he has fainted with a cold. The next day when he came to his senses, he did not eat anything due to weakness and kept the fruit in the root of peepal.
Unknowingly, Ekadashi's vrat was completed by Lumpak. This pleased God and forgave all his sins. When he realized the mistake, he apologized to his father. King Mahishman forgave his son.
