This community is divided into four varnas (categories) that has been
composed of 16 sanskaras
(sacraments), the first of which is- Garbhaadhan-
this sacrament is considered equal for all four categories. It is such a
sacrament that gives us a worthy, virtuous and ideal child. In the scriptures,
Garbhaadhan is performed for getting children of their own wish and choice.
This kind of ritual increases the family growth/race.
Significance of Sanskar:-
A child is
fertilized by the combination of mother's egg and father’s semen inside a
mother’s womb. This natural phenomenal is said to be conception or Garbhaadhan. And the physical union of
the man and woman is called conception. Conception- Garbhaadhan is supposed to be the first birth of the organism,
because at that time the organism first enters the mother's womb, which was
already present in the male semen. At the time of the sexual intercourse, the egg
is inserted into the womb and gets development. In such a situation, that
pregnant woman who is conceiving the child needs to attain the blessings of Sun
God and is considered absolutely necessary to do After conception, many types
of natural defects are invaded, from which to escape, this ritual is performed.
By which the womb remains safe. The child’s health depends on the eating habits
of the parents which indirectly affects the foetus. The reason for the
fertilization of the unhealthy foetus is the intake of narcotic drugs and
impure food of both- mother and the father. Their contaminated mentality also
produces semenosis or vaginal bleeding. Therefore, the mantra changes the
sentiments of the child, and is considered very necessary to perform this divine
Garbhaadhan Sanskar.
Religious Customs of pregnancy(Garbhadharan Sanskaar):
1- For
the first few days of pregnancy, symptoms like- jittery, anxiety and fatigue
are way normal. It is also natural to have vomiting or an increase in the blood
pressure. Hence these symptoms reveal/portray the early stage of the pregnancy.
2- According
to Hindu religion, once the woman conceives a baby in her womb then just the three
months later, both sides of the would-be parents throw together a religious event
in the house. In the ceremonial sacrament, the pregnant woman has been offered
prayers, followed by a small puja at home.
3- The
elder women in the house bless her with new clothes and jewelleries. Suitable
desserts and sweetmeats are given and everyone prays for her well-being and
good health. Worship of pregnant woman in planning, this is believed to be the
first sacred rite of the baby in the womb and hence named it- Garbhadharan Sanskaar.
4-
Once the woman conceives a baby in her womb, many types of natural defects are
invaded. To avoid this, these different types of pregnancy rituals are done to
have a healthy baby, thereupon.
5- By
side of it, the pregnant woman starts her worship to offer prayers to deities
by meditation and continuous chanting of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati,
meanwhile.
Note:-
1- As
soon as, the family gets to know that the woman is pregnant, since then, till
delivery, they should be extra cautious about the pregnant woman in the house.
2- And
she should be under the supervision of a gynaecologist, until the delivery
done. If possible go for routine check-up, every another week to verify whether
the baby inside the womb is fit and fine or not.
3- It is also recommended to go through medical examination on a regular basis. During pregnancy, blood group should especially be examined to avoid mishaps. Besides, Haemoglobin should also be inspected thoroughly in order to determine the child’s natural condition.
