Baba Thakur Ji temple is a famous Hindu
Temple nestled at Karoli in State- Haryana. This temple is dedicated to Lord
Krishna and Lord Shiva. It is a noteworthy Hindu Pilgrimage and named after
Lord Sri Krishna on the other name 'Thakur'. According to Legends, This temple
was established 150 years back by the people of the Kakash Gotra and renovated
in 1997 by local village people.
All the festivals are celebrated in this
historic temple. Special pujas are organized on each and every festival of Lord
Krishna nad Lord Shiva including- Holi, MahaShivratri and more. MahaShivratri is a Hindu Festival which
is popular as-"The Great Night of Shiva". It is a propitious festival
largely celebrated in this holy pilgrimage. This famous Shiva festival is
commemorated on the new moon day in the month of ‘Maagha’ according to the
Hindu calendar in this famous temple. This auspicious day is celebrated to
worship Lord Shiva, who is an important God in the Hinduism.
