Vishwanath Mandir is a renowned Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Baba Vishwanath
is one of the Lord Shiva’s names and thus this Mahadeva Temple is built on his
name. This illustrious Hindu Temple is situated at- Sadar Bazar, in the city of
Shahjahanpur. It is a famous Shiva Temple of Uttar Pradesh State.
This notable temple celebrates many popular
occasions with much fervour. On Mahashivratri,
umpteen devotees throng the temple with prayers on their mind and offering on
their hands. People come from various places to get Shiva’s Blessings and they
observe a holy vibe surrounding in this auspicious occasion. Fairs have been organised and people often fast on the night of
Shivratri. Tourists and the local residents sing hymns and praises in the name
of Lord Shiva to get blessings in bulk for their near and dear ones. Large
carcades are carried out within the city with people thronging the streets to
catch a glance of the venerate idol of Mahadeva.
