Bagheswari temple is situated in the southern part of Bongaigaon town in Assam. It is surrounded by a beautiful tea estate.
King Daksha’s Havan and then the Tandav of Lord Shiva had ultimately given rise to these 52 Shakti Pithas. Bagheswari temple is the holy place where Sati’s Trishul fell down when her body was cut into pieces by Lord Vishnu.

The Bhageswari Hill is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva
inside a stone cave flanked on either side by another 2 temples. The two
temples are Bhageswari Devi and the temple of Baba TarakNath.
