Bhujahiya
Mata Temple is located in Kakkar Tara Colony in Jalapur city. This temple is
dedicated to Goddess- Durga who has been worshipped here in the form of
Bhujahiya Mata. It is one of the ancient shrines of Goddess-Durga in the town.
People come and visit this oldest temple to get blessings from Mother-
Bhujahiya. Pandits organise Pooja Ceremonies sporadically. It is considered one
of the holiest Goddess Pilgrimages which is situated in the outskirts of the
place. The Temple Premises are shattered in big vicinity and the idol is placed
inside the main sanctum.
Some important
festivals are celebrated with a great pomp and devotion every year. People
come not only from India but outside it to visit this sacred Shrine of Lord.
Dev-Diwali, Dusherra, Holi and Prodosh Vrats are commemorated inside the
complex among the local devotees. Fairs have been organised and people often
fast on various traditional days. They sing hymns and praises in the name of
God inside the temple premises. Navratri is the best time to visit this famous
temple, as people from all the corners of India trickle in here to seek the
blessing of Goddess Durga. People also celebrate some other fests with
proper traditional rituals and offer fruits, milk and organise Free Bhogs on
some special days.
