Brahmeswara Temple is a momentous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is located at distance of 3 Kilometres from Bhubaneswar. Being one of the sacred Shivas pilgrimages, it has now become a most-visited historic places in Bhubaneswar city. The walls of the temple are chiselled with distinct god and attractive divinities.
Architecture/History: Constructed in 11th century, Brahmeswara Temple was built in Kalinga architectural style in 1058 AD. The temple has four minor temples in the prime complex. By the use of dark colored marble stones, the temple was encrypted with numerous shrines on the walls and windows. There are vimana in each temple sanctum and separate green porch. The temple has exquisite interiors with different sandstones and wooden work.
Speciality: The speciality about the temple is its beautiful architecture and mesmerizing sculptures. Since the main holy abode has Lord Shivaa in Nataraja manifestation holding a veena in one of the hands, placed on top of a bull.
