Durvasa Rishi Ashram is sited on the bank of the
River- Yamuna in Mathura. This very famous Ashram is dedicated to Sage- Durvasa
who was the son of Atri and Anasuya. This ancient Temple is basically situated
on Delhi Highway road and in the outskirts of Mathura. This temple is nestled in
very tranquil area amidst great serenity. It has greenery around and is
surrounded with a dense forest. This very famous Ashram of Durvasa Rishi is
also known as- Gadi Baba Ashram. Sage Durvasa crossed Yamuna River on Dvadasi
and went directly to the Ambarsaria Maharaja palace in Mathura, at the same
time when the king was about to break his Ekadashi fast. This Ashram celebrates
Vasant Panchami in a very unique style. In Durvasa's Ashram during old days, many
disciples used to go to study under him as he was the teacher to all those
students.
