Gufa Wale Baba Mandir is located in SH 57 in the heart of town- Sarurpur. It is a popular Hindu Temple of the Indian States of Uttar- Pradesh. This Hindu Pilgrimage has a magnificent architecture and decorated with various designs and drawings on the inner walls. It was established in early centuries and dedicated to Gufa wale Baba. Lord Shiva is also worshipped inside this Holy Pilgrimage along with installed Shivlingam. A Cave is also constructed in the outer area of the temple and remains open on numerous festivities.
Almost all the festivals are celebrated with a
set of rituals in this temple. The festival of Shivratri is observed at grand
scale with a great devotion and fervour. The atmosphere of the temple provides
peace to mind and heart of the devotees and the tourists. This illustrious pilgrimage
centre also arranges a fifteen days fair at the time of Mahashivratri Parva
every year. A fest (fair) has been organised by the local devotees and the
organisers to celebrate this big festival annually. Devotees observe fast on
this night and do not eat anything till night and offer fruits, flowers and bel
leaves on Shiva Linga. People believe that on this holy day Lord Shiva was
married to Parvati Maa.
