Kale Hanuman Ji temple is situated near Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. It is one of the oldest temples in India and was built 1000 years back. This temple is famous for the deity of Lord Hanuman -the Monkey-God, which is black in color and who is well- known for his faithfulness to Lord Rama. Basically in the temples, the idol of Hanuman ji is either of orange or red in color, however Kale Hanumanji is world- wide famed for its unique colored deity. Before the establishment of Jaipur city, The
Constructors and workers all way from Calcutta were hired to build this special
Kale Hanumanji Temple. According to ‘Vaastu’, the temple has been built and the
pillars in the temple have been constructed as per ‘ Pushya Nakshatra’. The
temple has one main idol of Hanumanji along with the deities of Lord Vishnu
(Raghunathji), Ramji and Sitaji. Devotees say that they feel a direct
connectivity with lord Hanuman as this Hindu deity of Lord Hanumana is a symbol
of perseverance and physical strength.
