Kalyani
temple is supposed to be 200 years old temple and is famed as the ancient Hindu
abode in Uttar-pradesh. This eminent pilgrimage is dedicated to Goddess-
Kalyani who is an incarnation of Goddess- Durga. People come and visit this
divine place to get blessings from the ultimate Goddess- Kalyani. It is said
that devotees pay homage to the divine mother on every Fridays. Followers
involve themselves in various Bhajans and Kirtans, the time they step in inside
the temple premise. A Bhandara is also organised for
unmarried- girls on various Pooja ceremonies.
Navratri
festival is
celebrated twice annually in the month of Feb or March and October. Some
Devotees observe fast on the Nine holy days and do not eat anything till nights
and offer fruits, flowers and Prashad to Goddess- Durga. The auspicious Hindu
festival of Navratri celebrates the power of the nine Goddesses. It is believed
that, People also sow Barley which signifies growth, prosperity and abundance.
The Festival- Navratri marks when Goddess- Shakti killed the demon- Mahisasur
and win good over evil. On this eminent days, people follow many rituals and
traditions to get Goddess- Shakti blessing’s. Ardent devotees also visit this
temple on some other auspicious occasions to seek fulfilment- Salvation; Wealth
and Relief from diseases. Some Rituals like burning of lamps reduces negative
energies and helps in increasing divine consciousness.
