About
Madhyamaheshwar Temple is located in the hillocks
of Rudraprayag. The temple resides at- uttrakhand state and thus has beautiful
picturesque scenery all around the main complex. It is well-known among the tourists and
followers with the name- Madmaheshwar or Madhyamaheshwar. This is a famous
Shiva temple and is an attractive holy spot which is at a distance of 46 kilometres
from Rudraprayag and at a height of 3265 m above sea level. During winters,
this Shiva abode appears very pre-possessing due to snow capped Himalaya nearby.
People worships Shivlinga which is in a form of Navel. The temple has a
momentous architectural which portrays classic North-Indian. . This remarkable
temple stands second on the Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit.
On Mahashivratri, umpteen devotees throng
the temple with prayers on their mind and offering on their hands. People come
from various places to get Shiva’s Blessings and they observe a holy vibe
surrounding in this auspicious occasion.
Fairs have been organised and people often fast on the night of Shivratri
and sing hymns and praises in the name of Lord Shiva. Large carcades are
carried out within the city with people thronging the streets to catch a glance
of the venerate idol of Mahadeva.
