Mankameshwar Temple is a famous and
noteworthy Hindu Temple in Lucknow. The
temple is situated in Mukarimnagar, Hasanganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh It is
basically positioned on the banks of river Gomti and has a very quiet and
beautiful surroundings. Lord Shiva and a shrine of Shivlinga are being
worshipped in the temple sanctum. This
temple is also famous for having a woman as its chief priest or the 'mahant who
does regular Poojas and perform rituals inside the temple premise on a daily
