About
The
Mindrolling Monastery is positioned in the Clement Town just close to Rajaji
National Park in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. It is one of the
renowned and the largest Buddhist holy place in India. It is a most-viewed
tourist attraction and a spiritual place to visit during summers as well as
winters. The Monastery is very famous in Uttrakhand state and has the tallest
image of Lord Buddha in the main abode. The image is 107 ft long and was
established in 1965 by Khochhen Rinpoche. The monastery has a college named-
Ngagyur Nyingma and an institute affiliated. It is one of the six famous
Monasteries in India and has 300 monks and saints associated with it.

H.H. The Dalai Lama's birth
anniversary: It will be observed on 6th July which celebrates the Birth of Dalai-Lama
and the monastery performs one day holy programme for his long- life.
Buddha
Purnima is celebrated with a
great pomp and fervour for 2 days in the Pilgrimage. People come and visit this
holy place on the Birthday of Lord- Buddha as well.
