Pateshwari
Temple is a divine place to worship Goddess- Durga in the form of Mother- Sati.
The temple is nestled near Faizabad Cantt in Uttar Pradesd state. Inside
the main premises a revered deity of Goddess Pateshwari who is an incarnation
of Goddess- Durga is installed in the main abode. People gather a throng every
day at the time of a daily Aarti schedule to take a glance of Goddess- Sati. A
beautiful Shrine is fixed along with many other small deities in the main abode
of sanctum-sanctorum. Some important
festivals are celebrated with a great pomp and devotion every year. People
come not only from India but outside it to visit this sacred Shrine of Goddess
in many popular occasions. Navratri, Dev-Diwali, Dusherra, Holi and Prodosh
Vrats are commemorated inside the complex among the local devotees. Fairs have
been organised and people often fast on various traditional days. They sing
hymns and praises in the name of Goddess-mother inside the temple premises.
Navratri and Shivratri are the best time to visit this famous temple, as people
from all corners of India trickle in here to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva
and Parvati (Sati).
