Radha
Kund Temple is situated at Jhingha Ghat in Bahraich and is one of the beautiful
Temples of Radha-Krishna. It is an ancient Temple positioned at the centre of
city- Bahraich in the Indian state of Uttar-Pradesh. A ‘Kund’, better known as-
Pond is fixed just near to Radha-Krishna Shrines inside the main sanctorum. The
idols of Radha- Krishna are installed in the main abode along with many other
deities of gods and goddesses.
Janmashtami preparation takes place in full
swing in this Temple. Many sweets and
delicious delicacies are made on this occasion however Ladoos and Panch-Amrit stand
out as they are believed to be the favourite of the Mahaprabhu. Abhishekha is
the most important part of the celebration that involves offering of milk and
water to the Lord which includes tiger dance performance by musicians followed
by other cultural programs.
