Rameshwar Dass Temple is a very momentous and ancient temple situated in
Narnaul, Mahendergarh District at Haryana State. This famous Hindu temple is
dedicated to lord Shiva and was constructed by Baba Rameshwar Dass. Inside the
temple premise, a Shivlinga is positioned which made up of white marble and is
10ft high. An idol of Lord Hanumana is also placed in the temple premise. Temple
walls are engraved with painted idols and the morals of the Bhagavad Gita, the
Ramayana and other religious epics.
The most popular Shiva occasion ‘Maha Shivratri’ celebration is observed
in this ancient and holy temple. A big fair is conducted on Ram navami and
MahaShivratri every year. This is a very sacred place to commemorate felicitous
fest by people following Hindu Culture.
Large carcades are carried out within the city with people thronging the
streets to catch a glance of the venerate idol of Mahadeva. Fairs have been
organised and people often fast on the night of Shivratri and sing hymns and
praises in the name of Lord Shiva.
