Rudranath Temple is located in Chamoli district of Uttrakhand state. It is prominent as one of the five interrelated centres of Panch Kedar at Rudranath region. The temple has a very tough route and is the toughest among the five temples of the state. Shiva deity always has a covered mask which makes his idol looks ferocious and aggressive. However, during his daily bath when priests take off the mask his actual pleasing look can be witnessed. By the Rudranath Temple, the holy river Rudraganga flows which is also known as Vaitarani.
