About
The famous Devi Talab mandir is situated in the Heart of the Jalandhar city near the Doaba college and Doaba Chowk about 1 Km away from the Railway station. The temple has been conquered several times by Foreign Rulers but emerged a new temple famous for influx of record number of devotees. There is a large masonry 200 year old tank sacred to Hindus. A model of Amarnath Yatra on the walls of the temple was constructed some dates back.

By Air: The nearest Airport to reach the temple is Raja Sansi
Airport in Amristar (80 Kilometers away).
By Rail: The Jalandhar City Railway Station which connects
with direct trains to Delhi,(375 Km), Calcutta, Mumbai, Puri, Nagpur, Jammu
etc.
By Road: There is a vast network
of bus services of Punjab, Himachal, Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh (160 Kms), U.P, J&K
etc.
History
Recently A new temple with the
renovation Of Amarnath Yatra has been built at the centre premises of the
temple. An Old Kali Temple of Goddess Kali known as “Tripurmalini “is also
there and it is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, Shiva lord is called as Bhishan
Bhairav as Sati’s right breast fell here.
Panch mandir- This beautiful
temple is located in Kapurthala town which is 21 Km away from Jalandhar and was
built by the founder of the Kapurthala state, Fateh Singh Ahluwaliah. The
architectural dome in the centre is surrounded by different small temples with
different deities.
Tulsi Temple – It is the most
striking ancient monument temple in the city and thus dedicated to Vrinda, The
wife of Jalandhara which is in the Kot Kishan Chand Locality named as Tulsi
Mandir .In the temple there is a gupha With the image of Goddess of plenty
,Annapurna and an old sheetla mandir, a hanuman mandir and shiva mandir along with the Brahm Kund and some temples
dedicate to Shiva .
Sodal Mandir – Devotees gather
here during the month of September as it is temple of a child deity.
Annapurna Devi temple – the
temple is situated in the old locality of Kot Kishan Chand, Jalndhar
Shiva Temple – It is a temple of the Lodhi Era and there is saying that the Nawab of
Sultanpur Lodhi fell for a Hindu newly married girl. She was saved by the
serpent of Lord Shiva. The king later on begged pardon from the girl on her
bidding he had got this temple built .Temple gate is built in the Style of a
Mosque while rest of the building is in Hindu Style.
