Kesavdevji Mandir is firmly known as- Kesava Deo/Keshav Rai Temple in local
Mathura. It is positioned near to Janam Bhoomi- typically famed as- Krishna’s
Birth land. It is famed as one of the most sacred and the oldest temples of
Lord Krishna sited in Mathura. Lord Krishna is popular as- Kehsav or Kesav Dev
inside the temple premises and in Mathura as well. In 1670, the temple was firmly established
and was destroyed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb later on. The temple has been
built over a prison which is still famous as the birth land of Krishna. Temple
commemorates so many popular festivals inside the main complex such as- Lathmar
Holi", "Chhappan Bhog", and "Krishna Janmashtami etc.
