Tiruchendur
Murugan Temple It is located in the district of Tuticorin on the Indian Ocean.
Lord Muruga fight with the Asura King Surapadma in Tiruchendur, it was believed
that after the war it had turned totally red with violence because of the gory
war. The most famous festival is (Oonjal Sevai - where Lord Muruga swings with
his consort in a highly tranquill atmosphere).
The
Poojas in this temple are performed as per the Kumara Thandiram Murai. Nine Pooja
Kalams are observed on a daily basis. Temple gets open from 5.00 am till 9.00
pm.

Vaikasi
Visagam is the major Temple dedicated to Lord- Murugan. It is observed in the
month of May /June. Devotees visit this famous Holy and apy homage to God. A large carcade of Sri Jayanthinathar with
Valli and Deivanai is managed in the evening period.
Avani
Festival is marked in the month of August or September. A large number of
worshippers and the outsiders participate in this festival. On this Avani
festival 7th, 8th and 10th day functions are more important.
Skanda
Sasti Festival: This eminent Holy
Festival is celebrated for 6 days inside the temple complex. Worshippers follow
some set of rituals and Pooja ceremonies during these 6 days.
