Fourteen Gods' Temple is one of the most sacred places of Tripura. This temple is famous as ‘the temple of fourteen gods’. The temple is situated at :Khayerpur, Old Agartala, Mekhlipara, Tripura. It is also well –known among the devotees and the local residents as ‘Kharchi temple’. Unlike other Hindu temples, this temple has no idols (statues) of the gods however only images are engraved inside the temple premise, especially on the internal walls. ‘Kharchi festival’ is observed annually and slaughtering of animals are done to get the blessings of the gods.
